LATVIA ACTIVELY SHARES THE EXPERIENCE WITH UKRAINE ACCUMULATED WITHIN THE YEARS OF MEMBERSHIP IN EU

On November 24, the delegation of Ukrainian Deputy Ministers on European integration headed by the Director of the State Office on European Integration, Deputy Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Natalia Hnydiuk arrived to Riga with the aim to share Latvia`s experience in state management reform and economic development accumulated by Latvia within the years of membership in EU.

In particular, the business trip was attended by Deputy Ministers of the following Ukrainian Ministries: Justice (Serhii Petukhov), Social Policy (Serhii Ustymenko), Regional Development (Demian Pastukh), Youth and Sports (Mykola Movchan), Ecology and Natural Resources (Hanna Vronska), Agriculture (Vladyslava Rutytska), Infrastructure (Oksana Reiter) and Information Policy (Tetiana Popova). The Presidential Administration of Ukraine was represented by the Head of European Integration Department Serhii Leshchenko.

The program of the business trip included familiarization of the Ukrainian delegation with mechanisms of public participation and law-making process transparency in Latvia`s state management, in particular, in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Cabinet of Minister, with Latvia`s experience in anticorruption policy, financial state management and cooperation with media.

The visit was arranged by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia for the purposes of agreement between governments of the two states within the framework of cooperation program aiming at development.
